Jessie Jamar’s practice includes all aspects of personal wealth transfer planning.
Jessie focuses on estate, gift and charitable tax planning for families and individuals of all ages and wealth levels. Jessie is also experienced in the nontax aspects of personal representation, such as handling issues relating to blended families and planning for disability. Her practice includes the formation and governance of tax-exempt organizations and the various aspects of planned giving. Jessie is experienced in estate and trust administration. Jessie has significant experience working with banks and trust companies in their capacity as fiduciaries and in personal wealth transfer planning.
Jessie attended McGill University and was an editor of the McGill Law Journal. She completed graduate study at New York University School of Law and earned an Advanced Certificate in Estate Planning.
Jessie serves on the Estate & Gift Taxation Committee of the New York City Bar Association and the Taxation Committee of the New York State Bar Association.
Jessie is a member of the McGill University Advisory Board – U.S.
Jessie lives with her husband, Benoît, in Connecticut. She took several years off from the practice of law to help raise their three children and enjoys kayaking, skiing and playing golf and bridge.
