Jonnie Strong joined the firm now known as Schlesinger Lazetera & Auchincloss LLP soon after its formation in 2004, when the firm was known as Schlesinger Gannon & Lazetera LLP.
Ms. Strong is engaged in the full spectrum of trusts and estates practice. She provides counsel in all areas of complex estate planning including gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxation and the income taxation of trusts and estates; family limited partnerships and other closely held businesses; and asset protection. Ms. Strong is highly experienced in the preparation of sophisticated wills, trust instruments, intra-family agreements and all related documents, including insurance trusts, Section 2503(c) trusts, GRATs, QPRTs, grantor trusts, revocable trusts, FLPs and LLCs.
Ms. Strong is particularly attuned to the personal planning goals of her clients, taking a sensitive approach to the special problems of the elderly, including health care decision making documents and powers of attorney.
From 1982 to 1987, Ms. Strong was a judicial clerk for the Appellate Division, New York State Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department.
Ms. Strong is admitted to the Bar in the States of New York and New Jersey.
Ms. Strong graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Manhattan College in 1979 and received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1982.
